Lewis Jackson Jr. went to be with our heavenly father on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife Regina Jackson, five children Kimberly Jackson (Vallejo, Ca), Candolyn Price(Vallejo, Ca), Keith Jackson(Vallejo, Ca), Genee’ Hoskins-Jackson(Houston, Tx), and Karina Jackson(Houston,Tx). Sisters Fannie Perry (Billy), Sylvia Barnes, Harriett Jackson, brothers James Jackson (Phyliss), Larry Jackson (Debra) and host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lewis was a man of great integrity and honor. Lewis honored is country by serving in our U.S. Marine Corp for four years. Lewis believed in being a man that leads by example even in service, where he received A Good Conduct Medal. Once completed with this journey Lewis went on to become the supervisor at Metropolitan Furniture for 29 years. Lewis was a devoted and loving husband and father. His best friend was his wife Regina Jackson of 25 years. Psalm 37:23 says “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him” which Lewis showed in his life and past time. He loved being a counselor to those in need, and followed in our Lord Saviors footstep by being a carpenter working with his hands and building things.
Lewis is predeceased by his mother, Jessie Lee Bell, father Lewis Jackson Sr., brother Greg Jackson, brother Leon Jackson, and brother Harold Jackson.
Lewis family would like for you to join them at his visitation, Monday, January 23, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home from 5-8 P.M. A service of celebration will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Concluding services Lewis will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery will his fellow brothers in the military, with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corp.
