Lena Ann Zawacki

Lena Ann Zawacki, 84, passed away on May 16, 2016. Lena, the seventh of nine children, was born in Plantersville, Texas on January 31, 1932 to John and Margaret Plocheck. She moved to Houston, Texas in the 1940’s and married Paul Zawacki on February 11, 1950 at All Saints Catholic Church in Houston. Lena loved animals and gardening. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Zawacki and her parents. Lena is survived by her son, James Zawacki and wife Paulette; daughter, Beverly Zawacki; son, Edward Zawacki; daughter, Terri Zawacki; her beloved Boston Terrier, Maggie; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a no-kill animal shelter of your choice in Lena’s memory.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm, with a Rosary at 7pm, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Pat H. Foley & Company. Mass will be held at 9:30am Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, Houston 77037. Reception to follow at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home after mass. A private family burial will be held later that afternoon.
