Lee Edward Gresham died unexpectedly on January 19, 2014. He was born on December 26, 1939 in Nacogdoches, TX, and is preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Mollie Parmley Gresham. Lee is survived by his wife, Carolyn Coffey Gresham and son, Bradley; his grandchildren, Christopher Gresham and Kathleen Yzaguirre; his sisters, Lelia Borak of Cypress and Judy Gosnell of Katy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lee went to school in Longview, TX, and graduated from TCU with a degree in marketing in 1963. There he met and married his wife, Carolyn. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. After moving to Houston, he became a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where he was chairman of the Calf Scramble Committee.
He enjoyed all sports including golf and hunting. He was an avid fisherman and loved to visit with other boaters about the sport. Lee loved to collect and read cookbooks, sharing his favorite recipes with family and friends. He loved his family and never met a stranger.
An informal visitation and celebration of Lee’s life will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
