Lawrence Joseph Roberts was born to Laurel and Attrice Roberts in Saint Martinsville, Louisiana on December 20, 1942. He was the third of five siblings. He was educated in the Houston Independent School District. He was an outstanding artist and terrific dancer. He was a diligent and tireless employee for a Houston refinery for thirteen years. Lawrence was a proud father to one son Craig Roberts. He was a faithful member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. He enjoyed riding his bike everywhere he went. He lived a happy and fulfilling life until his health began to fail. He was a courageous fighter and he had a resilient soul for life. On April 27, 2015 the Lord sent his mother to his side and said, "Lawrence, you have fought a good fight and now it's time to come and join mom, dad and Pete." Lawrence precedes his mother, Attrice Roberts; his father, Laurel Roberts and his brother Peter Roberts in death. He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Craig Roberts; his sisters, Marie (Eddie) Boss of Phoenix, Arizona, Lydia Washington (Lorenzo Wooten) of Houston, Texas and Joseph (Jacqueline) Roberts of Carson, California and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
