Laura Richardson

Laura Lue Richardson passed away peacefully from this life the morning of December 26,2022 at her home. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last moments of her life.

Laura was born and raised in Laneville, Texas on October 24,1923 to Tom and Victoria Williams. Laura was married to Lee Richardson and from that union they had Robert Lee, Freddie Lee, Cora and Rufus Richardson.

Laura accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. In the early 1980s, she moved to Houston with her daughter, Cora, and her grandchildren. Upon arriving to Houston, Laura become an avid member of Grady Street Church of Christ.

Laura was a loving, caring person with an infectious smile and a laugh that would always warm your heart. She loved her family and would do anything to help her daughter, taking great care of her grandchildren while she worked. Laura enjoyed spending time gardening, cross stitching and crocheting. She was known for singing her favorite gospel songs that could be heard throughout the house. Her voice will be greatly missed.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Williams and Victoria Williams; her husband, Lee Richardson; her sons, Robert Lee Richardson and Freddie Lee Richardson; her two brothers, RJ Williams and Edd Williams; and grandson, Cornelius Richardson.

Laura leaves us to cherish her memory. She is survived by her children, Cora Page and Rufus Richardson; grandchildren, Priscilla Richardson, Stacy Page, Belinda Page, and Rafael Richardson and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
