Her precious life began on October 11, 1931 in Belleville, TX.
As a teenage bride, she married Jake Morones at the age of fifteen. They remained married for 67 years, until his death in 2015. She often said, “He was my only love and that’s the way it’s going to stay.”
She worked as a bookkeeper for McRae Oil during the time their two children were enrolled in school. Several years later, she returned to being a full time wife and mother. Her altruistic love for family and friends was always unmistakable. She loved to visit with her sister Molly and brother Raymond who both lived nearby.
Most of all, she adored spending time with her family and friends as much as possible. Anytime there was a holiday, her closest family would gather at her house. Cooking was also a way to show love to those she held dear. She made the best tortillas, vermicelli, potato salad and banana pudding for all the family celebrations.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her and she cherished every moment she was able to spend with them. Her two daughters also held a special place in her heart. She always showed an abundance of love for all of her family.
