Larry Gene Warren

Larry Gene Warren, Sr., age 82, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at his home in Sugar Land, Texas. Larry was born in Port Arthur, Texas June 19, 1937 to Lawrence Warren and Mildred Letulle Warren who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death are his in-laws Lillian Fournet Borel and Claude Borel.

Larry married the love of his life Claudia Borel in Port Arthur, Texas at St. James Catholic Church on January 4, 1958. Together, they raised a large, loving family including their five children and spouses: Larry Warren, Jr. and wife Kim; Kathy Warren Guerra and husband Leo; Penny Warren Schmidt and husband Don, deceased; Debbie Warren Kuithe and husband Dennis; Karen Warren Counter and husband Ron. Their children then blessed them with nine grandchildren: Beau Warren; Matt Warren and wife Kahley; Kaitlin Guerra Rodriguez and husband Hugo; Lyndal Guerra Stevens and husband Jeff; Kari Counter; Brenna Kuithe Sylvester and husband Travis; Jessica Schmidt Rodriguez and husband Daniel; Blake Kuithe; and Brant Kuithe. The family continued to grow with the arrival of one great grandson Leo Franco Rodriguez. Larry's family also includes his aunt, Geneva Warren Meeks; sister Helen Warren Maxwell and husband Cliff, deceased; sister Susan Warren Moss and husband William; sister in law Connie Borel Meaux and husband Raymond, deceased; sister in law Jean Borel Simon, deceased, and husband Jerry; and brother in law Wade Borel and wife Gail, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Larry started working at Texaco, Port Arthur in 1960. He retired from Texaco in 1995 as Manager of Budgets and Economics after 35 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, wood worker and gardener. His greatest joy was having his family all together.

A memorial service for Larry will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079, followed by a reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
