Larry Gene Rhea, age 68, of Humble, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022. He was born in Houston, Texas on February 15, 1954 to parents Jessie Rhea and Georgia Rhea. He met the love of his life Peggy in elementary school and married on June 22, 1971. Larry worked in the transportation and shipping industry for 49 years. He had a passion for fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Georgia Rhea.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife Peggy of 50 years; daughter Sheryl Rhea Rucker and son in law Steve Rucker, Teresa Rhea Swingle and son in law Brian Swingle; granddaughters Addison Swingle and Angelle Rucker; grandson Landon Swingle; sisters Marie Bonnette, Margaret Smith, Charlotte McAnally, Connie Young; brothers Jessie Rhea Jr., Donnie Rhea and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Larry will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 2:30 PM. A burial will occur Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Brian Swingle, Steve Rucker, Anthony Gaskin, Brandon Gaskin, Landon Swingle, David Bryan and Joey Klein.
