Larry Kansteiner

1933-2017

Larry Kansteiner died peacefully on June 26, 2017 in Katy, Texas. Larry is survived by his sister Katherine, brother-in-law Jimmy Bennett numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by Doris, his loving wife of over 38 years, parents Marcus and Reetha, brother Ray, sister-in-law Barbara and nephew Michael.

Larry was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from St. Thomas High School (1951) where he loved and played baseball. He started a career in banking before serving in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He resumed his banking career in Houston and met Doris Martinolich. They dated and later married in 1977. They were inseparable for the next 38 years and devoted their lives to each other and their families until The Lord called Doris home in 2015. A devout Catholic his entire life, he was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church from 1977 until his passing.

Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 5356 11th St., Katy, Texas with a reception immediately following (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.). Cryptside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
