Larry Albert Green

Larry Albert Green passed away on March 18, 2015. He was born on May 3, 1942 in Houston, TX. He grew up in Houston and graduated from St. Thomas High School. He attended the University of Houston and graduated in 1965. He retired from Reckitt and Colman after 28 years and General Mills after 15 years. He was instrumental in youth sports development as president and coach at Timbergrove Dads Club.

Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty G. Green, daughters, Traci L. Allbritton and husband Bobby, and Kristen D. Shepherd and husband Brent, son, John A. Green and wife Cyndie, 5 precious grandchildren, Katherine and Chase Allbritton, Makenzie and Hallie Shepherd, and Sarah Green, sister, Linda L. Coe and husband Jim, brother, David A. Green, sisters-in-law, Joyce Lyons and husband Jim, and Shirley Greenhaw and husband Mike, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, March 20th at Heights Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 600 Pecore, Houston, TX 77009, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, March 21st, with interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
