I worked with Larry in his civic commitment to the local community as a director on the water utility board. Larry had such a warm and humble personality that cant be forgotten. While it is sad that he is not with us, it is comforting that he has passed to the hands of our lord. He was a man that touched and inspired many people in the journey of his life, now his spirit lives through ours as we pay forward our service to fellow man just as Larry did.

I worked with Larry in California and remained in touch thereafter.  He was a good man who showed a young engineer much kindness and will be most definitely missed.

Larry, someone so special can never be forgotten. I met Larry 15 years ago when I joined Schlumberger. He was a wonderful teacher, leader, friend and everything one could look for in a good mentor. He taught us to be sound professionals, treated us as family and made working with him a great lifetime experience. Thinking of you and feeling grateful to have you as colleague and friend. Back in the mid 1970's there were several of us who were Phil Waerembourg's engineers. Larry in Gillette and Farmington, Dwayne Krugman and Lee Ramsey in Rock Springs and I was in Vernal. Jim Hodges was in I think Commerce City. We were all fresh out and full of it but did a lot of great work and had a sense of camaradrie that made all our hard work a lot more fun. Larry was a good person and will be missed by those who knew and worked with him. My deepest condolences to all the family.

Let me start by Thanking your for the opportunity to submit my thoughts for Larry.
I worked with Larry for about 3 years.  We clicked the moment we met.  He reminded me of my own Dad.  We would sit and talk about life, marriage and family.  He always had the best advice or would just sit and listen.  Larry truly loved his family.  His smile was contagious.  I am proud to have called Larry, My Friend.  I will miss him dearly.

I offer you and your family my thoughts and prayers. Larry was my friend and my mentor. I am so blessed he was in my life. I celebrate his wonderful life.

 I considered myself so lucky to have my life's path crossed with Larry Foster's life. I met him at that moment of my career when I was taking my first step as a manager, and I thought it was going to be a challenge to manage a person with his profile. I found very quickly that I could not be more wrong. He was one of the most supportive and loyalty person that I have had in a team. I can write all day about many great examples of how Larry was an incredible person. However, I would like to say to him that it means so much to me that every time we met, he was so vocal on letting me know how proud and what an honor he felt to have our friendship. I doubt I was able to transmit to him, as well as he did to me, that I was so proud to be considered his friend too. Larry seems someone in heaven wanted to have special Christmas Cookies and Turron and truffles; I cannot blame them, I will do the same for having another baking bag from you on my Christmas Three. Rest in peace friend, Judy and Samatha will find each other strength to honor your legacy of a happy life.

  I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I had to know Larry, first as a colleague, then as a manager and later on as a friend. His guidance, wise advice and his huge heart win friends wherever he went. He was the kind of friend that even away, unseen or unheard you know was always near. My dear friend, you are going to be very missed.

 Larry was a friend of mine since we first met in 1975 as field engineers working for Dowell, div of Dow Chemical. Some of my fond memories of Larry include our District Engineer meetings in Casper, Wyoming under Phil Warumbourg. If you wanted to be where the fun was it was in Larry's room and usually the next morning you would hear of some mischief that took place later that night. I.e.: Larry and the boys crashing the hotel pool in their briefs. Larry was known as one of the most organized and respected engineers in the area. I know Vernal, Utah and later Bakersfield were locations where he made a big impact with his engineering and mentoring.  In the early 2000's after he returned to Schlumberger after a brief time with Baker he worked with DJ WHITE ON THE FIRST FLOOR in the Dairy Ashford office. He led a team of young engineers doing PowerSTIM projects and did a great job.  He lead many successful projects and mentored a motivated young team. I always enjoyed my visits with Larry when he gave me updates. Larry was one of my best friends at Schlumberger and I will miss him very much.  My sympathies to Judy and his family. He will be missed. I still thought of him often.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the departure to eternity of a man I describe as a special friend, big uncle, dad, great mentor and extremely good person. I will always remember Larry as someone who always believed in people, was always willing to share knowledge, ever smiling, very professional and knowledgeable. I'm glad for the opportunity to have worked with Larry for a number of years and for the times we spoke intimately about family and life. Rest my dear friend till we meet again on the other side of eternity. We will miss you greatly!

My family's thoughts and prayers are with you, Judy, at this difficult time. Larry was my manager at Schlumberger. Larry was more than a manager he was my mentor, friend and father figure. I will go to Larry with career questions as well as personal questions and he was always willing to give his most honest opinion. Late 2013, Larry wrote the most decisive letter to US Immigration Services on my behalf vouching for my professional competencies. This enabled the agency approve my US Permanent Residency (Green Card) application. For this, Nnenna and I are eternally grateful. I am heartbroken to hear news of the passing of our dear friend, Larry Foster.  Larry was such a kind hearted soul, a great mentor and he was loved by many.  Rest in eternal peace, dear friend.

Larry was a great friend and mentor. His office was always open, to listen and share stories from his past. I am happy to have been friends with Larry. Larry was always interested in other cultures. My deepest condolences for the passing of our Dear Larry Foster.  I had the great fortune of working with him for several years, and he was a great mentor, but above all a good friend, always cheering, smiling, making the best of every situation; a long with the sad sentiment for his departure, it comes a great sentiment of gratitude to him, and to God for the opportunity of sharing excellent personal and professional moments with Larry.
