Larry was an honorable man with great character. He proudly served the Lord; he attended the church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints. He was a member of the Blue Knights International LEMC Georgia Chapter since 2018, proudly representing his love serving his country and community. Larry served the US Army as MSG. Airborne Ranger for 23 years. He then served his community as a Law Enforcement Officer in the office of the Sheriff Department in LaGrange, GA for over 20 years. Larry had a passion for horses and his motorcycle. He loved taking rides, spending time with his family and friends. Larry had a heart of Gold, he loved God, family and life.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Zelma L. Griggs Arrington.
He is survived by his wife, Marcicela E. Arrington; children, Josh Brooks (Becky), Sacha Arrington (Kate), Lars Arrington, Victoria B. Maddoxx, Ruth Chavez (Pete), and Emma Velazquez (Luis Mario); father, Edward T. Arrington; step mother, Dorothy Arrington; siblings, Cindy Parker of Lubbock, TX, Tamara Mayfield of Clovis, NM, Kenneth Arrington of Maple, TX, Randall Arrington of Clovis, NM, Timothy Arrington (Nancy) of Hereford, TX, Phillip Arrington (Debbie) of Clovis, TX; 8 grandchildren; along with numerous nephews, nieces, and great nephews, nieces, and extended family.
A visitation for Larry will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038.
