I TOO AM SO SORRY.  LANCE WAS A CHARACTER AND WILL BE MISSED.  MY CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Dear Family of Lance, " I'm so sorry to hear about your great loss.  Lance was such a gregarious and wonderful man.  I went to the University of Houston as well and also in the Hotel and Restaurant Management college.  So we were friends in school.

I wish and pray for your strength in this time.  I can tell you that Lance was so lovely and kind, and I'm sure he touched the hearts of many many people.  I remember him to always be smiling and in a beautiful and happy mood.  I'm sure his memory will live in such a positive way in so many people's hearts."

As for me, I am already on the point of being poured out as a libation, and the time of my departure has come.  I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the race.  I have kept the faith. I met Lance in 1991.  We watched a movie over at your house.  Shortly after, I moved to Austin.  We didn't keep in contact, but I wondered about him, and hoped good things for him.  My mom met him once and thought he was such a great guy.  As a mother myself, I wanted to let you know that my friendship with Lance was brief,but I found him to be a true gentleman, very sincere and kind.  You raised him well.  It breaks my heart that his life was brief and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

I love you Lance, this is your childhood friend, Deborah, I spoke with your mom, I love you and miss and feel so sad. I wish I had been there for you.

My nephews are very special, my nieces are very special to me, but to loose one so unexpectidly is beyond words. Lance was a good person and will be remembered in that light. Hopefully his mother, Laura, will find some kind of comfort in knowing that another mother lost her son on the cross.Have faith right now and we all will be reunited one day. Uncle Louis

Lance, as pledge brothers we spent a lot of time together.  Even though it has been years this news brings me a heavy heart and deep sadness.  I will always remember your fun spirit and great witt.  I pray that you may now rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

I met Lance at camp in high school, and by the end of camp, everyone knew who he was.  He was outgoing and never met a stranger.  He was everyone's friend, and a true southern gentleman.  I know he will be missed by many.  Rest in peace, old friend.

It's hard to find the right words for a person like Lance. When I first met him in high school, I felt like I knew him for years. He was always happy and no matter how bad my day was, he was there to talk me through it. I'm lost for words to see him go, but I know God has a great guy sitting next to him now. 

I'll see you on the other side old friend, vaya con dios. We will all miss you greatly.

Loving and merciful God, as we entrust Lance to your mercy, pardon his sins and give him eternal life in your kingdom, where there will be no more sorrow and no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy.

Darby Poole and Brooke Flores will always remember Lance as having the biggest heart.Lance went out of his way one year to make sure that me and my daughter had a christmas tree.He will be loved and missed  forever.

I was so excited to have reconnected with Lance via Facebook last Fall, yet I am so sad that busy lives prevented us from reconnecting in person. My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Marino and the entire family. 

The earth has lost a great man but heaven has gained another a ray of sunshine.

After a loss like this, it's difficult to comprehend God's master plan.  It seems natural to ask why or how this could happen to someone in the prime of their life.  I suppose we can just continue to put our faith into the Lord and trust that our lives are in his hands.  
Our prayers go out to Aunt Laura and to the rest of the family.  Lance will be missed dearly, but he has been welcomed warmly and with open arms by those in Heaven.  I'm sure that Uncle John was waiting right there for him to show him the way.
