

Kurt was born on July 1, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Polly Knoblock. The oldest of seven children, Kurt attended Fenn College in Cleveland, but left upon his father’s death in 1959 in order to take care of his mother and siblings.
Kurt married his wife of 47 years, Barbara Jean (Helmink) Knoblock on November 9, 1968 in Lakewood, Ohio. He was a longtime employee of Dow Chemical where his electrical engineering role eventually brought him to Houston, Texas in 1993. Kurt retired in 2011 at the age of 70 after 38 years at the company.
Kurt enjoyed reading, especially about cars and motorcycles, and in particular Harley-Davidsons. In addition, he shared his interest in stamps and coins with his children and grandchildren.
Kurt is survived by his wife, Barbara Knoblock, daughters Nancy Suhodolsky and Amy Josefy, with their spouses Jerry and Chris, and grandchildren Samantha, Ricky, and William Knoblock and Reagan and Elise Josefy, and siblings Sheryl Eldred, Judy Knoblock, Mike Knoblock, Gay Johnson, Pete Knoblock, and John Knoblock.
Family and friends are invited to a reception from 2-5 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the home of Chris and Amy Josefy. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Junvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org). The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the North Cypress Medical Center ICU for their care and help.
