Kim was born in Houston, Texas on August 15, 1961 to Joe and Patsy McDonald. She attended Waltrip High School and then attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, graduating in 1983 with a degree in accounting.
Kim brought her spark and energy to everything she did, but her most important job was raising her daughter, Allison. She was an exceptional and loving mother, unwavering in her support and wise counsel. She also thoroughly enjoyed perfecting her immaculately landscaped yard, as well as designing and decorating custom interiors.
Kim is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Allison and James Bartlett; her mother, Patsy McDonald; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Keavin and Karen McDonald and Kelly and Eva McDonald; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe McDonald, and sister-in-law, Sally McDonald.
She is deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her, and will be remembered in our hearts forever.
Due to coronavirus concerns, her celebration of life will be private.
