Kim Suzette Carter was born on March 26, 1965, to her loving parents Johnny Louis and Frankie Mae Carter in Houston, Texas.
Kim acknowledged and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Strait Life Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. In her teen years, she joined Greater Star Missionary Baptist Church. Later she became a member of Strait Life Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Charles Carter Sr. Kim became a member of Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Lucious G. Buggs IV & the late Pastor T.W. Swayzer. She was a devoted member and showed the love of Christ as an usher until her passing. Kim attended Chatham Elementary School, Terrell Middle School and was a proud graduate of Kashmere High School in the class of 1983.
Kim loved people from all walks of life and she spent her career loving and helping people at Toys “R” Us. Later, in 1994, she worked at IKEA until her passing on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Kim was a loving and devoted mother.
Kim joins her parents, Johnny and Frankie Mae, along with her sister, Valerie Denise Green, who all preceded her in death.
Kim leaves behind three children who mourn her homegoing: two sons, Joshua Louis and Malcolm Dwain; one daughter, Francheska Renee; one daughter-in-law, Brianna; seven grandchildren: Joshua Lewis, Alexandria Moriah, Malachi Elijah, Naomi Alexis, Grace Destiny, Lillian Janelle, and Alana Simone Carter; three brothers: Dexter Jerome (Gale), John Eric and Germaine Alan (Erika Marie) Carter; two sisters-in-law: Gale and Erika Marie Carter.
Kim was blessed with family, friends, neighbors, church members and colleagues who cherished her memories in her passing.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 11am, 2023 at 11am. A Visitation will begin at 10am until time of service at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2432 Chew St, Houston, TX 77020, Interment Paradise North Cemetery.
