Kenneth Lewis Zerbe, age 91, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21st after a brief illness at home surrounded by his family. He grew up in Sunbury, PA. The family moved to Naugatuck, CT where he went to High School then they made the move to Dallas where he enrolled at UT Austin. He met Charlotte at church when she was fifteen and he was twenty. He always said, “This Yankee boy came to Texas to find my southern girl and I found her.” They both knew immediately that they would marry as soon as she finished High School, which they did. They just celebrated their 69th anniversary on Sept. 26th of this year. Ken transferred to Southern Methodist University to complete his degree in electrical engineering, graduating with honors. They were blessed with three children. Maylon (Charla), Susan Reid (Jim) and Mark (Wendie). Grandchildren Kayla Taylor (Scott), James, Kenzie and Jack Zerbe. Then came his great-grandson Colton Taylor, 19 months. Ken was a devoted Christian and was eager to meet his Lord. He touched many with his Bible teaching and loved to teach God’s word and did that to “the end.” He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed greatly.
