Devoted father and grandfather
Kenneth Eugene Miller, age 75, passed away peacefully March 10, 2016 at a Houston hospice surrounded by his family. After a short battle with cancer, he went to be with the Lord.
Kenneth was born on May 7, 1940 to Beulah Mae Williams Furrh and Homer Miller in Dallas, Texas. He joined the United States Marine Corps on January 13, 1958, where he served his country until his honorable discharge on January 20, 1964. Throughout his life he was an avid coin collector, and went to great lengths to share his passion with the rest of his family as well. Furthermore, a proud Texan, Kenneth had a deep love of sports, and shared his fondness for the Texas Longhorns with all who knew him.
A hard worker and dedicated man, Kenneth worked on the Union Pacific Railroad for over two decades where he grew a strong circle of friends who he remained friendly with even post-retirement. Known by all to be a man of quiet humility, he was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.
Kenneth is survived by his brother Jack and sister Darlene along with his sons Ken , Jason and Robert , daughters Stormey and Alesha. Furthermore, he leaves behind his granddaughters Alex, Brandi, and Lola, along with his grandsons Sebastian, Ryan, Cal, and Van. Also, his great-granddaughters Aubri, Greta, and Clara.
He is preceded in death by his wife Peggy and sisters Pat and Louis. He will be sorely missed.
