Kenneth Owen Beam Jr.

Kenneth attended Smiley High School. He met and married his first wife, Rosemary Tuttle and to this union they had five children. He instilled the importance of God, education and hard work in his children. He was later wed to second wife, Carolyn Hughes and together shared many treasured memories.

Some of Kenneth's passions included woodworking and spending quality time with his family. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. Kenneth was a devoted family man with a heart of gold. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and spoiled them immensely. Kenneth will be remembered as a generous, kind, funny soul who brought so much light and love to those who knew him.

Before retiring, Kenneth worked as a machinist for Reynolds Aluminum for approximately 20+ years. All of those who knew and loved him will dearly miss him.

In addition to his parents, first wife Carolyn; second wife, Rosemary; and son, Kenneth Owen Beam, III, also precede him in death.

Kenneth is survived by sons, Craig Beam, Sr. James Beam and wife Sondra, Chuck Beam; daughter, Shannon Beam; 17 grandchildren, Craig Beam, Jr., Jeffrey Beam, Jayme Macicek, Stephanie Beam, Kenneth Beam IV, Chelsea Green, Chastity Beam, Morgan Walls, Laycee Beam, Richard Bordelon, Ashley Bordelon, Dillion Yarbough, Renessa Russon, Rachel Butts, Matthew Farmer, Jennifer O' Shaughnessy, Kimberly Toudouze; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild as well as many other treasured family and friends.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM, in the Grand Chapel at Brookside followed by burial in Brookside Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Craig Beam, Jr., Jeffrey Beam, Nathan Macicek, Drew Walls, Dillion Yarbrough, Cody Green and Kenneth Beam IV.
