Kay Lynn Taylor

Kay graduated from Galena Park High School and attended Sam Houston State University. While at SHSU she had a blind date with Johnny Taylor and their love has grown each day since. They were married for 58 years and had 2 sons, Greg and Craig. For years Kay stayed home to raise her boys. Later she went to work as an executive secretary, working for many years at HISD.

Kay was a long-time member of Garden Oaks Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Class. She loved Jesus and her family deeply. She enjoyed reading, traveling, the Statler Brothers, Rafael Nadal, and sharing devotionals. Kay went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband John; her son Greg and his wife Elaine; her son Craig and his wife Trisha; her grandchildren Andrew, Rebecca, Shelby and Jessica. The family is most grateful to Gene DuBois for the love and assistance she provided.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:00 am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home followed by services at 11:00 am.
