Kay Ogburn is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Kelner and Donna Lybarger (husband Robert); her two granddaughters Joy Lybarger and Tori Kelner; and her brother and sister in law Stewart (Frenchy) McAdoo and Gayle McAdoo.
Kay Ogburn was born in San Antonio, Texas to Rachael and Stewart McAdoo. As an Air Force family, they moved many times, and she got to live in many places including Japan and Guam. As an adult, she continued to move around until settling in Houston near her parents. She was a Registered Nurse and enjoyed working in the ICU. She took a job with HISD as a school nurse in 1984 in order to have the same schedule as her daughters. She worked at Madison High School until 1993 when she transferred to her alma mater, Westbury High School. She retired from Westbury in 2010. Kay enjoyed many hobbies and crafts including working on the daily crossword puzzle and many cross stitch projects. Kay enjoyed being with friends and created a Monday Supper Group (MSG) where she ate out each Monday night with her friends. She was also active at Westbury Baptist Church in her Sunday School classes coordinating social events and mission projects. She read her Bible daily and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She is now fully healed and restored and praising Him.
