Kay graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1965. Later Kay would become a purchasing agent for Maxwell House Coffee and 2 chemical companies.
Kay loved books and she volunteered in the resale shop at Barbara Bush Library. She instilled her love of books in her daughter, grandson, and great-granddaughter. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and doing puzzles.
Kay is predeceased by her son Alan and her father and mother, Edward and Maurine. Kay is survived by her 2 sisters, Ginny Rosen and Pat Baker, her daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Jim Deasy, Grandson, TJ Deasy and his wife Lindy of Moore, Oklahoma, great-granddaughter Sydney Deasy of Moore Oklahoma, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Kay suffered from emphysema and a donation to the Emphysema Foundation of America in her name would be a blessing.
A celebration of life for Kathryn will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas.
