Kathleen Louise Mickelson

She graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston in 1960 and attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

She is survived by her loved and devoted husband Larry Mickelson of 58 Years, her two sons, Mark Allen Mickelson of Montgomery, Texas and Charles Gregg Mickelson and wife Elizabeth of Willis, Texas, her sister Virginia Riddle and husband Bill of The Woodlands, Texas; five grandchildren, Peyton Noblit and husband Justus of Spring, Texas, Julia Mickelson of Willis, Texas, Brock Mickelson of Cypress, Texas, Makenna Mickelson of Cypress, Texas and Madeline Mickelson of Cypress, Texas. She is also survived by a niece Kristen Riddle of The Woodlands, Texas and a nephew William Riddle of Denver, Colorado as well as numerous Cain family cousins.

Kathleen loved to travel and with her husband made numerous trips to Colorado, Yellowstone National Park and to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She was also an avid gardener and was particularly fond of hibiscus plants with their colorful flowers.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday March 13, 2023 from 12;30 PM to 2:00 PM, and a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
