Katherin Louise McCracken

Katherin spent many years as a hairdresser, homemaker and raising 4 boys. She married the love of her life, Freddie McCracken, in May of 1985. She was an excellent cook, and always made sure her loved ones had plenty to eat when they came to visit. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, jigsaw puzzles, and anything arts and crafts. Her most cherished times were spent with her family, weekends away visiting with her sisters, and game nights with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her time spent relaxing in her recliner watching her shows with her beloved fur-baby Selena curled up in her lap.

Katherin was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie McCracken; father, Henry Edell Hargrave; mother, Ella Gertrude Hargrave; sister, Frankie Stoneham.

She is survived by her four sons, Gary Billingsley (Lisa) of Angleton, Marvin Billingsley of Greensboro, David Billingsley of Angleton, and William Billingsley (Angella) of Angleton; sisters, Betty Ann Beard of Crockett, and Edna May McCracken of Houston; grandchildren, Tonia (Joseph), Jonathan, Jessica, Jennifer, Anthony, Misti, Chase, and Cole. As well as an abundance of great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

She loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, August 9th from 5pm-6pm for immediate family and 6pm – 8pm for the public. Services will be held Thursday, August 10th at 11am at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A graveside service will be held at noon.
