SSG Kashif M. Memon was born on March 16, 1981 in Saint Paul, Minnesota and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps out of Houston, Texas in 2001 as an Infantryman. During his career in the United States Marine Corps he was stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. While stationed at Kaneohe Bay he deployed to Camp Hansen, Okinawa Japan, Pohang South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Afghanistan during OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM where he served as an Infantry Squad Leader. Upon completion of his service in the United States Marine Corps, he enlisted in the United States Army in October 2007 as an Infantryman. During his career in the United States Army he was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While stationed at Fort Hood, he deployed to Iraq during OPERATION IRAGI FREEDOM where he served as Infantry Squad Leader and Operations Non-Commissioned Officer Incharge. SSG Memom volunteered for and completed Civil Affairs training and was assigned to Bravo Company, 96th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) as a Civil Affairs Team (CAT) Civil Affairs Engineer.

SSG Memon is married to the former Christina Louise Tompkins of Benton, Arkansas. Together they have two sons, Humayun Noah Memon and Mikhail Elijah Memon, and are currently expecting their third child, Victoria Layla Mariam Memon.
