Kashif Mohammed Memon

SSG Kashif M. Memon was born on March 16, 1981 in Saint Paul, Minnesota and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps out of Houston, Texas in 2001 as an Infantryman. During his career in the United States Marine Corps he was stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. While stationed at Kaneohe Bay he deployed to Camp Hansen, Okinawa Japan, Pohang South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Afghanistan during OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM where he served as an Infantry Squad Leader. Upon completion of his service in the United States Marine Corps, he enlisted in the United States Army in October 2007 as an Infantryman. During his career in the United States Army he was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While stationed at Fort Hood, he deployed to Iraq during OPERATION IRAGI FREEDOM where he served as Infantry Squad Leader and Operations Non-Commissioned Officer Incharge. SSG Memom volunteered for and completed Civil Affairs training and was assigned to Bravo Company, 96th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) as a Civil Affairs Team (CAT) Civil Affairs Engineer.

SSG Memon’s schools and awards include the Army Airborne Course, Warrior Leader’s Course, Advanced Leader’s Course, SERE-C High Risk Course, 18C Special Operations Construction Course, Mobile Force Protection Course, Intermediate Language Course, Negotiations and Mediations Course, Sling Load Inspectors Course, Civil Information Management Level 0, District Stability Framework Course, Tactical Mobility Training, Army Commendation Medal, Two Army Achievement Medal, Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Citation, Navy Unit Citation, Two Army Good Conduct Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign star, Iraqi Campaign Medal with Campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Development Ribbon with 2 Device, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with two Stars, Army Parachutist Badge and has received The Order of the Spur.

SSG Memon is married to the former Christina Louise Tompkins of Benton, Arkansas. Together they have two sons, Humayun Noah Memon and Mikhail Elijah Memon, and are currently expecting their third child, Victoria Layla Mariam Memon.
