Karina E. Mendoza

Karina was born in Houston, Texas on March 26, 2000. She was a senior at Klein Collins High School, and a member of National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society.

Karina was well known for her optimism, faith in God and for always having a huge smile on her face no matter what the situation was. She enjoyed painting, cooking, baking, playing soccer, spending time with her family and friends but most importantly she enjoyed life!

Karina is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Fabian and Francisca Mendoza.

She is survived by her loving mother, Maria Arredondo; father Edgardo Mendoza, sisters Michelle Mendoza, Vanessa Herrera and Natalie Mendoza, maternal grandparents Ermilio Arredondo and Enedina Armenta Serrano. Karina will be lovingly and forever remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and members of Texas Children’s Hospital family.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX. Visitation will be on Friday, March 16 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm followed by Celebration of Life service on Saturday, March 17 at 9:30 am.
