Karen Michelle Melendez was granted her Angel Wings on April 6, 2018, surrounded by her beloved family. Karen left our home to reside in our Lord’s Kingdom. We pray to our Lord to grant her eternal rest. Waiting for her with a Big Welcome were her Beloved Grandma and Grandpa Garcia, her Beloved Lita and Lito Melendez and many loving relatives.
Karen is survived by her Beloved Son, Darren, Parents Rudy, Sr. and Carrie, Brother Rudy Jr. and the Love of Her Life, Joel Rutledge ( like Karen always said “Everyone should have a Joel in their lives”) many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
When Karen was born, the doctors did not guarantee that neither Karen nor her mom would survive, so we, her Dad and Mom, give thanks to our Good Lord for blessing us with such a loving and giving daughter for 50 years. She was her Mom’s Baby Girl and best friend. We are grieving but at the same time, thankful.
Karen, Mom and Dad, held your hand when you were born and held your hand as we said “Good-Bye”. We Love You.
We will miss her everyday of our lives, the only comfort we have is knowing that she is waiting for us and that we will all be reunited someday.
