This is the living life of Frank Ho, 74, of Houston, who passed away on January 18, 2020 due to an onset of pneumonia after a long battle with dementia and Parkinson’s disease. Frank was a wise and family-oriented man who was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Frank” was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend like no other could be.
Frank’s story starts on July 1, 1945, the seventh child to Juk Ming and King Man Ho. He was born in Guangzhou, China. When Frank was still little, his family moved to Macau, and eventually Hong Kong, where Frank would spend his childhood, grow up, make many lifelong friends, and go to school. He graduated from New Method College in 1964. Upon graduation, he worked for a year at Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank before joining Kwong Cheong Ltd in 1966, a family business in trading started by his father, which he spent more than 10 years helping his family to run the company.
He met the love of his life, Agnes Ho, and they were married at the St Teresa’s Church in Hong Kong on Jul 28, 1970. They started their family and raised three children, Kerwin, Dawning and Charles.
In 1984, Frank started his own trading company, Fabrilla Limited, and worked until he moved and re-united with his family in Houston in 1998. He continued to work and contributed to the society as an instructor in driver’s education in Houston, which he enjoyed and was loved by his students. He retired in 2010 and spent more time with his family since then. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed playing mahjong, watching movies, dancing and listening to music.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Frank are his father Juk Ming Ho, his mother King Man Ho, his brothers Ka Wo Ho and Michael Ho. Loved ones who will miss Frank until they meet again are his wife Agnes Ho; his children Kerwin Ho, Dawning Ho and Charles Ho; his son-in-law Jeffrey Li; his daughter-in-laws Alice Wong and Eva Chang; his grandchildren Chloe Ho, Audrey Hsuean, Matthew Ho and Megan Ho; his brothers Peter Ho, Purvis Ho and John Ho; and his sisters Oi Lan Ho, Chi Lan Ho, Sally Ho, Shirley Ho, May Ho and Zarina Ho.
