Justin graduated in 1985 from Mount Carmel High School in Houston and then attended the University of Houston. He worked as an independent manufacturer’s representative in the oil and gas industry for the past 25 years. He was known for his affection for fun and action. He loved riding bicycles from his childhood into adulthood as he rode his mountain bike as a hobby and enjoyed riding annually in the National MS 150. Justin always showed a love for music. He was introduced to the guitar as a young boy and then excelled as a musician and played lead guitar in a band. He also showed his affinity for song by being an avid follower of live music attending many live shows in Austin and Houston. Justin was a college football fan and would attend either a University of Texas or TCU football game every Saturday during the fall season. Justin enjoyed the many trips with family and friends, especially to California. He was a wonderful son, brother, and friend to many. Justin loved being a husband to his wife and soul mate, Kim who he was married to for 22 years. His greatest joy in life was being father to his beloved daughter, Jordan Alyssa, who was also his best friend. He was so proud of the young woman she has become and looked forward to all she has ahead of her in life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.A. and Marion Mikes; and his grandfather Harry E. Harris. He is survived by his wife Kim Delgado Traylor; his daughter Jordan A. Traylor; his mother, Shirley A. Traylor; his father David R. Harris and wife Marilyn; his grandmother Elizabeth R. Harris; his mother-in-law Kay Delgado; his brothers Kelly Traylor and his wife Pam and John Traylor; his sisters Joelle Sloan and her husband Steven and Ivy Boudreaux and her husband Mike; brother in law, Derek Delgado and his wife Schantiel; aunt, Laurie Ballard and husband, Paul; his dog “son” Jax; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Honorary pallbearers are Kelly Traylor, John Traylor, Rodney Roth, Steve Wells, Christopher Wells, David Willis, Art Trevino, Jr., James Cesarini, Rob Timmons, Philip Rickman, Josh Jones, Brent Edmiston, Shawn Madden, Vincent Martinez, Steven Sloan, Mike Boudreaux and Derek Delgado.
Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities, Buffalo Bayou Partnership or the Memorial Park Conservancy in Justin’s memory.
