June Skinner Snyder was born on June 15, 1924 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Charles Skinner and Birdie Morrison-Skinner. June was raised in Houston, Texas and later went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse from St. Joseph's Hospital Nursing School in 1945. On April 21, 1946 she married Arthur Wendel Snyder, Jr. a Veteran of WWII. June was an extraordinary woman who had accomplished much in life and inspired many. June is survived by her daughter, Patricia Snyder Shoffit, and grandsons, Casey and Craig Shoffit and great grandson Austin Shoffit.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5-8 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11 AM at Grace Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. Mike Fry. A light reception to follow. The Graveside Service will be later at 1:30 PM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
