June Yvonne Robinson Curtis, second daughter born to Eugene and Ollie Robinson on August 11, 1941, affectionately called June Bug by her grandmother, she fondly became known to family and friends as "BUG". June grew up in the Highland Heights subdivision, where she and her sister Jean Vivian attended Eighth Avenue Elementary, Harper Jr. High and she became a graduate of Booker T. Washington High. Upon graduation she met and married James Lewis Curtis on June 5, 1959. To this union they were blessed with two children, Baby James Jr. and Jameria Yvonne. June was a very dedicated and productive worker. For 30 years she served as a C. S. Tech at Ben Taub Hospital. After retirement she later decided to serve her community within H.I.S.D as a Bus AID, where the kids loved and admired her as one would write and tell her: "Ms. June, some say thank you for the band-aid, I say thank you for the hand wipes." Bug was a very jovial-person, a caring mother, bringing smiles and laughter to many. She loved the roll of grandmother to Jacori, Jared and Jaythan. It was her joy to be at their beck and call. They knew no matter what the situation grandma Bug was there. Bug was a dear friend, she love to travel, she loved to party and party she did. In her later years she would return to work (The Game Room). Bug is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Ollie; her son, Baby James Jr. and sister, Jean. Bug leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter, Jameria Y. Zephyr and her devoted son-in-law, Jacob; her adoring grandsons, Jacori Deon, Jared Dwayne and Jaythan Duron; caring cousins, Jennifer, Andrea, Wilma and a host of relatives and friends. June Bug, we are going to miss you dearly
