Julio Enrique Ramos

Julio Enrique Ramos, 77, of Houston, TX, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Plam Parejo, Colombia on March 20, 1944, the son of Julio Ramos and Angela Diaz, loving husband of Sara Morales Ramos.

Julio worked as a mechanic and machinist until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed working with his hands, and had the ability to fix just about anything. Julio used that ability to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Also, he had a prideful passion for taking care of his landscape. Especially, during Christmas time when he would light up the neighborhood with his decorations. A dedicated husband and father, Julio always made sure his family came first. His joy for dance & laughter will be greatly missed by all those who loved him and his way of being.

He is survived by his wife, Sara; children, Claudia, Jesse, Javier, Alex, Julio, and Angela; Sisters, Carmen and Marlene. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, countless loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his five brothers, Orlando, Migdonia, Cesar, Melquiades, and Roque; a sister, Victoria.

A visitation for Julio will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home- Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095, followed by a funeral service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
