Julio Cesar Lerma

Julio Cesar Lerma, 49 was born on February 19, 1975 in Tamaulipas, Mexico. He passed away in a helicopter crash in Houston, Texas on October 20, 2024. The news of this incident reached an international level. There is no doubt that Cesar would be amused by this attention.

Cesar immigrated to Houston, TX in 1980 when he was 5 years old. He grew up to become a master craftsman, learning the carpentry trade from his father. He was the proud owner and operator of ProCarpentry. He was fastidious in his craft and meticulous in his attention to detail. Cesar’s life ended alongside his youngest son Dylon, 9. He is survived by his two older sons, Darin Lerma, 23, and Aiven Lerma, 19, mother Oralia Zuniga, father who raised him Juan Barron, and siblings Edgar Lerma, Susana Sanchez, and Martha Barron Martinez.

Those who knew Cesar knew of his love for his sons, his mom, his work, his dog Kuma, and last but not least, his collection of vehicles. He had a generous and lighthearted spirit, always giving wholeheartedly and joking with the family. He was adventurous and enjoyed offroading, mountain and city biking, vacationing with family and most of all spending time with his boys. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Rest in peace brother.

César emigró a Houston, TX en 1980 cuando tenía 5 años. Creció hasta convertirse en un maestro artesano y aprendió el oficio de carpintería de su padre. Era el orgulloso propietario y operador de ProCarpentry. Era exigente en su oficio y meticuloso en su atención a los detalles. La vida de César terminó junto a su hijo menor Dylon, de 9 años. Quienes conocieron a César sabían de su amor por sus hijos, su mamá, su trabajo, su perro Kuma y, por último, pero no menos importante, su colección de vehículos. Tenía un espíritu generoso y alegre, siempre dando de todo corazón y bromeando con la familia. Era aventurero y disfrutaba del offroad, el ciclismo de montaña y urbano, las vacaciones con la familia y, sobre todo, pasar tiempo con sus hijos. Su recuerdo vivirá en los corazones de sus familiares y amigos. Descansa en paz hermano.
