Julian Joseph Nunnally, 83, passed from this earth on June 10, 2015. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, in the sanctuary of Fair Haven United Methodist Church, 1330 Gessner Dr., Houston, Texas, 77055. Interment followed at Houston National Cemetery, where military honors were provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8790 Honor Guard.
Julian was born November 7, 1931 in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Moseley Arnold and Hattie (Schultz) Nunnally. Predeceasing Julian were his parents, brother, Robert A. Nunnally and Robert’s daughter, Robin Ann.
After his high school years, Julian joined the Air Force, serving primarily in San Antonio, Texas where he met Ina Mae Connally. He later served in Erding Germany. On their return to the states, Julian graduated from Trinity University and joined Texaco, spending his career of 37 years there.
After retirement traveling, enjoying new restaurants and especially sports were big on his agenda. First among his interests were always his wife, children and grandchildren.
Ina describes Julian as “a very, very good man” who did not believe in arguing. He would not go to bed angry. She loved him with all her heart and he felt the same.
Should contributions be made, the family suggests Fair Haven United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
He is survived by his wife, Ina Mae; sons Gary Douglas and his children, Gregory and Angie; David Bryan and wife Karen and their children, Nicole and husband Jeffrey Nutt; and daughter Ashley Nunnally; as well as many friends and family. Julian will be missed by all who knew him.
