Julia Frost Smith

She is survived by her sister Kathryn Frost and brother James Browne Frost and his wife Angela; nephews Andrew Scott Klein, Jared Robert Klein and his wife Natasha, and Hunter Browne Frost; and niece Lauren Nicole Frost.

Julie was a wonderful aunt to Andrew, Jared, Hunter, and Niki. She was always there for them – only a phone call away to take zoo or museum trips, baby sit, bake cookies, attend school events, or sit many long hours watching them play sports. She was only a phone call away not only to family but also to friends and friends of friends. She was always there for whoever was in need.

Julie was mom to many very fortunate dogs throughout her life, most recently Flutter, her beloved Papillon. She was a lifelong animal lover, a longtime supporter of the Houston Zoo and SPCA, and loved watching live streams of African animals on WildEarth. Julie will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15th, 2024 at 2:00 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079 with a graveside service immediately following at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
