Julia Cortes Rodriguez, 88, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She was born January 15, 1929 in Parras De La Fuente Coahuila, Mexico to Candelario and Maximina Estrada Cortes. She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos Rodriguez. Julia is survived by her children, Leandro Morales and wife Graciela, Maria Estella Alvarez (Andres), Cecilio Garcia, Alma Salas (Jose), Norma Fernandez and husband Adalberto, Carlos Rodriguez and wife Maria Elena, Elvira Rodriguez and husband Stephen; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 4-7 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Crespo Funeral Home-Navigation. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
