Judy Rae Ramey, resident of The Woodlands, Texas died unexpectedly on January 10, 2020 at the age of 72. She was born in Houston, Texas on November 18, 1947. Judy is survived by spouse Bernard Ramey Jr; daughters Kimberly Lacagnina and Karen Parks; grand-children Mason Parks, Darbi Lacagnina, Kendal Lacagnina and Jensen Lacagnina. She also had another “family” from the state of Florida a loving step daughter Lauren Kiley, and three smaller grandchildren Madeline, Amelia, and Miller. They always looked forward to “Grandma Judy’s” visits as they greatly admired her humor, love and ability to connect with them in such a positive manner.
She grew up in the Heights and graduated from Reagan High School.
Judy worked at Brinadd and Baroid before her career at OFI Test Equipment as an Executive Assistant and shareholder in 1982. Throughout her time at OFI she also worked as a Sales Administrator and inside Sales Representative. She retired on May 4, 2015.
Judy loved gardening and had a passion for working with the organization “Every Soldier Deserves a Care Package”. She spent many hours gathering items, writing letters, and packing boxes for our military overseas. You can find information about this organization on their Facebook page. Judy embraced her role as a wife, mother and most of all the best mawmaw in the world. She never missed an activity or a chance to help anyone and was involved in every area of her family’s lives. She was the heart, soul, and core of everything and she will be greatly missed as our angel on earth as she has become a true angel in Heaven.
