Judy loved working on her ranch in Texas and vacationing in Colorado. She was fond of her animals, particularly the dogs she adopted from rescue centers. Judy was an employee of Shell Oil for over 38 years and was looking forward to retiring to Colorado.
Judy is the daughter of J. B. and Zelma Oder of Houston. She is survived by her husband, Mike Duffala of Wharton; her son, Brian Nelson and his wife Leslie of Thornton, Colorado; and two grandsons, Jacob and Garrett; her mother, Zelma; her sister, Jan Kousounis and her husband Mike of Pasadena; nephew, Charles Hancock, and nieces, Lora and Jamie Kousounis.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two until five o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 5th of August, in the Drawing Room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 6th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where the Rev. Charles Thompson, Executive Pastor of First United Methodist Church, is to officiate.
Interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston.
