Judith Suzanne Brown Welker, 83, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed peacefully in her sleep on September 26, 2022. Judy was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 25, 1939 to Lawrence Owen Brown and Corrie Lee Eastham Brown. She was married to Thomas Fowler Welker for 64 years and just celebrated their anniversary on September 6th. Judith had a rich career from selling Tupperware in the early days to a successful real estate career in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. She was a member of Sugar Land First United Methodist church for the last 30 years and a member of Wilcrest Baptist in Alief for many years prior to moving to Sugar Land in 1987. She and her husband were leaders in the Square Dancing community for many years. They were president of the Houston Square and Round Dance Council and members of the Spirits Dance Group. She and her husband served for many years on the Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry Board of Directors where they picked up food weekly from community businesses for the food bank. She volunteered much of her time to various organizations in the community like operation smile. She loved all kinds of crafting from crocheting to scrapbooking. She had a love for the card game Bridge that never quit and she played until she couldn’t play anymore. But nothing compared to her love of her 3 grandchildren and grand dogs.
