Juanita Marie Bain Sanford, 87, entered eternal rest on June 19, 2020 in Austin, Texas. She was born December 26, 1932 in Houston, Texas. Juanita grew up in the Heights area of Houston and attended Reagan High School. She married in 1954 and later gave birth to Wade in 1955, and adopted Ronda in 1957.
Juanita successfully owned and operated Four Roses Antiques for many years and made many friends in the small town of Bellville, Texas. Prior to this, she was a parts salesperson for 29 years at Don McMillan Ford in Houston. This was at a time when there were very few women in this field of work. She very often was awarded “Top Salesperson of the Year.” Juanita enjoyed antiquing, hunting, dancing, and gardening. She also loved quilting, spending time with her family, and her little dog, Willie.
Juanita is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Irene Bain; father, James Howard Bain; son, Aubrey Wade Sanford; sister, Mary Kathleen Bain Avery; brothers, Robert Howard Bain, Jesse Harry Bain, and James Ray Bain. Left to cherish her loving memory, daughter Ronda Brown Massey; daughter-in-law Terri Sanford; grandchildren: James Aaron Sanford, Austin Wade Sanford, Adam Weston Sanford, Brandi Wade Sanford; great grandchildren: Lexus Nicole Sanford and Kalli Marie Sanford.
Visitation for family and friends will begin on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 1p.m. with the funeral service beginning promptly at 2:30p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039. Interment to follow immediately after the funeral service in Brookside Memorial Park.
