Johnny graduated from Sam Houston High School and attended Kilgore College. He married Maria Henrietta González on October 8, 1960 until her passing. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.
Johnny had several career paths, including self-employment. His time spent with the Houston Oilers as an equipment manager will be most remembered. He was known for his quick wit, timely jokes and his affinity for animals.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Ignacio and Delfina González; sisters Margarèt Reyna and Delores Arias, granddaughter Micaela Garza and son-in-law Victor A. Lozada.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Theresa A. Lozada, Maria E. González, Angelica (Mark) Garza; sons Juan (Kim) González Jr., Michael (Gloria) González and Daniel (Vicki) González; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Juan will be held Monday, June 21, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at 4699 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home. Followed by a graveside service at Brookside Memorial Park where the burial will occur.
