Joyce Davis Wilson, 91 Years of age, a resident of Simonton, Texas went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior Monday, April 30, 2012. She was born in Larned , Kansas, on May 30, 1920. She was the daughter of the late William Hobart Davis and Della Davis originally from Kansas. Joyce married the love of her life, James Robert Wilson Sr. in August of 1947 and lived in Houston for over 60 years before she moved to Simonton, Texas. Joyce and Bob loved to travel the world together until his passing in 1986. She loved to bowl, play bridge with her lifelong friends, cook, dance and playing the organ. However, nothing made her happier than spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband James Robert Wilson, her sister Marilyn Davis and her brother Norman Davis. She leaves behind her beloved children, Carole Dimon, Bob Wilson, wife, Ida, Vivian Wilson, and George Wilson, wife, Joan Wilson. Joyce was an amazing grandmother and was loved by her grandchildren Jean and Gino Romano; Terry and Scott Allen; Wendy Rich; Jean and Jamie Friedli; Bob and Wendy Wilson; John and Jess Wilson; Deanna Grayson; and Chris Wilson. She was also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; Samantha; Brittney; Brandon; Krista; Collin; Blake; Allie; Taylor; Tess; Christopher; Destiny; and Amber. Funeral Services will be 05/07/12 at 1:00 at Forest Park Mausoleum Chapel. Information will be provided at the service for the reception.
