Joyce L. Morton

Mrs. Joyce L. Massey Morton, age 88 passed away on Wednesday September 6, 2017. Joyce was born July 23, 1929 in Mart, TX to Mattie Leona Polson Massey and John Luther Massey. Joyce was married to William T. Morton for 61 years. Joyce had a career in land real estate as a bookkeeper.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband W.T. "Bill" Morton; son Stephen Lynn and wife Janice Morton; mother Mattie Leona Massey and father John Luther Massey; brother John L. Massey; paternal grandparents Stephen Kade & Lillie Virgina Massey, and maternal grandparents Calvin Lynn and Mary Alice Polson.

Joyce is survived by; son W.T. and wife Darlene Morton Jr.; son David Wayne and wife Lydia Morton; and daughter Pamela Susette and husband Randall Hart; grandson W.T. and wife Mary Morton, grandson Stephen L. Morton, grandson Jason W. Morton, granddaughter Katherine L. Morton, grandson Joshua D. and wife Jessica Morton, granddaughter Emily C. Hart, granddaughter Stephanie R. and husband James Lander, granddaughter Wendy N. Hart, great granddaughter Cassidy Paige Morton, great granddaughter Jillian Isabella-Ann Morton, great grandson Williams "Liam" T. Morton and great grandson Jaxson T. Morton.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77039. Following the visitation will be a graveside & committal service at 2:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77039.
