Joyce Frank Hunsaker, 83, went to be with her Lord on the 30th of September 2012. She was born on the 11th of July 1929, in Houston, Texas. Joyce attended Trinity Lutheran School, was a graduate of Reagan High School, and attended the University of Houston where she met her husband of 55 years, Jerry D. Hunsaker, Sr., D.D.S. “Momo”, an avid gardener, best cook ever, a selfless friend, a Mom to all- her greatest joys in life were serving and loving her Lord and family.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry, she is survived by her children: Jerry D. Hunsaker, Jr., M.D. and wife Keely Hunsaker, D.D.S., H. Stephen Hunsaker, D.D.S. and wife Carol, Juliana Baker and husband Howard, Elizabeth A. Hunsaker, D.D.S.; grandchildren, Stephen(Sarah), Meghann Hartman(Ryan), Keely, Jenny, Macy, Jerry, III, Jill, Lori Anne, Chance, Hannah, and Joyce; great grandson Henry Ryan Hartman; her sister, Shirley Frank Calhoun; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
An extra special thanks to YiaYia & Pappou Lambros and Ms. Sheny for their love, faithful friendship, and company to Momo.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 5th of October, in the Library and Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 6th of October at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Avenue in Houston, where the Rev. Donald G. Black, Pastor of Visitation, is to officiate.
The interment will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in Joyce’s name may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Ave., Houston, TX, 77007; or to the charity of one’s choice.
