Joyce C. Chumley

Joyce Chumley, 86, of Pinehurst, TX passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 29, 2015. She was born to Harvard Austin Duncan and Mamie Lou Hammond Duncan on September 12, 1929 along with her twin brother, Joshua Maurice Duncan.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Carl Covan; father, Harvard Austin Duncan; mother, Mamie Lou Hammond Duncan Hollomon and husband, Marvin, sister, Mary Ella Duncan Allen and husband, James Allen.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Frank L. Chumley, daughter, Linda Covan Nettuno and husband, Philip of League City, TX, daughter, Frances Covan Davis and husband Norman “Buddy” Davis of Webster, TX, daughter, Claudia Covan Samford and husband, Gary of Bryan, TX, Grandchildren: Karla McNeil and husband Tommy, Karen Cargile and husband Jeff, Kimberly Rexer and husband Bryan, Julie Davis, Josh Samford and wife Tamikia, Jason Samford and wife Lari; Great-grandchildren, Kayla Potter and husband Jacob, Tyler McNeil, Christopher Cargile, Amanda Rexer, Ellen Samford, Brooklyn Samford; Great-Great-Grandchildren, Aimee Potter and Addison Dawley; brother Joshua Maurice Duncan and wife, Marian and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be at Tomball United Methodist Church, 1603 Baker Dr., Tomball, TX 77375 on October 1, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023, at 2:00pm.
