Joyce Marie Brown was born in Houston, Texas to the late Verlie Brown and Georgia Mae Botley Brown on December 29, 1958. She was the 10th of eleven children born to this beautiful union. Joyce attended school in Aldine ISD and completed her education in Houston ISD at the School for the Blind. Joyce loved music, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends.
She gave her life to Christ, and she recently joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She had previously attended Asia/Perfect Love Missionary Church where she was in the choir and was the aide to Pastor James Jones Jr.. She was also a part of Mission Workshop Ministry Support Group, where Sister Owens was the President.
Joyce worked at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center as a Lab Technician for 20 years before retiring. During her tenure at M.D. Anderson, she met many co-workers who became her life long friends.
Joyce Marie Brown went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her
parents Verlie Brown and Georgia M. Botley Brown, Alsina Mims, Andrea Brown (Brenda), Arule Brown, and Relima Brown.
Joyce Marie Brown is survived by her two children; Brianna Brown and Tremont Brown (Jamie). Her grandchildren; Shania Gibson, Tremont Brown Jr., Iykeryia Smith, Isaiah Howard, and Natalie Middleton; Her siblings; Alfred Fanner (Brenda) of Ozark, Alabama, Valeria T. Brown, Beverly Brown Janise, Anthony Brown (Sandra), Jewel Lovely (Clifton) of Dallas, Texas, and Gregg Brown (Lesia). She leaves to mourn nephews, nieces, cousins,other relatives, and friends
