Joy La Frae Huettel

Joy was born to Ray Loyd Grimland and Virgie May Knudson, May 3,1936, in Hico, Texas. She graduated from Milby High School in June 1953. She married Richard Thomas Huettel on May 16, 1953, they lived in Pearland, Texas, where they raised 3 children. Kandy Huettel, Sheri Huettel, and Richard Huettel.

Joy is survived by: Her brother, Dale Grimland, Children Kandy Zabka (Sheri Chesser) Grand Children, (Kaycey Faith, Taylor Hodkin, Autumn Cooksey, Andrea Young, Emily Shupak, Michael Shupak, Richey Huettel, Shea Shatto). Great grandchildren Joy Key, Jared Key, Cherish Holden, Hope Holden, Olivia Cooksey, Skylar Young, Rileigh Flores, Jordan Hodkin, Henry Buchanan III, Joey Faith Danny Martin and Great Great Grandchildren Colton Fuller, Waylon Key.

She was preceded in death by Ray Grimland, father, Virgie Knudson, Mother, Richard Huettel, Husband, Richard Ray Huettel Son, and Great Grandson Jackson Daniel Martin

Joy worked as a Office Manager for young and company for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, games, quilting, painting, and making jewelry. She lived to be creative and had a passion to bring out the creativity in others. Above all she loved making memories with her family.

Pastor Bowman will be providing a service April 24,2023, 11 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
