Ms. Joslyn Rena (Dow) Williams

Joslyn Rena Williams was born on June 20, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Ulysses Herman and Ethel Lee Dow. She attended public school and graduated from Waltrip High School in 1971. She received her Bachelor degree in Business Administration on August 14. 1976, and a Masters in Marking from Texas Southern University.

Joslyn received Christ and was baptized at an early age at Second Baptist church. She welcomed her first baby girl Sherri Patrice Dow into the world on August 24th, 1969. In 1983 she was married in Holy Matrimony to George E. Williams Sr and to that union she welcomed her second baby girl LaShaunda Idell Williams. She was also blessed with two bonus sons Darreyl Dwayne Dickerson and George Earl Williams Jr.

Joslyn retired from the Houston Police Department after 17 years of service and Fort Bend School District after 12 years of service. She was currently employed with SP plus corporation having been there for the past 10 years. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Joslyn loved to travel and cruised frequently with her best friends Ms. Rhonda and Mrs. Ina. You could always catch her on the dance floor doing her favorite line dances.

Joslyn departed this life on Wednesday, April 12,2023, at 12:16pm at her home. She was preceded in death by her grandmother (Pleasanna Buchanan), her parents (Ulysses H. Dow and Ethel L. Dow) three brothers (Nathan, Ulysses Jr. and Dana) and one sister (Audrey).

She leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters Sherri Dow and LaShaunda Johnson (Tamika), 2 bonus sons Darreyl Dickerson, George Williams Jr., (Cindy). one sister Betty (Rogers) Westmoreland, 2 brothers Larry (Sharon) Dow, and Derek (Toni). Her 2 granddaughters Chenyria (Keeva) Dow, and Samone McClure, 2 grandsons Randall (JacQuisha)Bell Jr., and Kendall (Ravin)Bell. 8 great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
