Josephine was born on June 30, 1936, to John and Vita Pizzo in Houston, Texas. She was proud student of Incarnate Word Academy where she graduated in the top 10 of her class. She and her husband Chris Piccola owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store. After, while raising 5 children, she worked at Target for 30 years.
She and her husband, Chris, travelled annually to Las Vegas to celebrate their wedding anniversary, along with their children and sister, Kathy. It was always a joyous occasion. We all had a great time touring Italy, following our ancestor’ s footsteps.
She traveled far and wide, always with her family by her side. Cayman Islands, Seattle, Washington, Canada and the Smoky Mountain Cherokee, North Carolina. Also, we had a really good time in Nashville and Graceland. So many trips to Biloxi, Mississippi and Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Everywhere she went her only daughter, Cindy, was close by her side. They were inseparable.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, her parents John and Vita and her in-laws Joe and Sendy Piccola and her aunt and uncle, Sam and Pauline Cotrone. She is survived by her five children, Joseph and wife Mary, John and wife Sonya, Christopher, Cindy and Samuel. Six grandchildren, Jessica, Christoper, John Paul Jr, Sophia, Victory, and Mia. Great-grandchildren are Elizabeth, and Luca.
Pallbearers are Joseph, John, Christopher, Samuel, John Paul Jr., and Victory Piccola. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Piccola and Taylor Beard.
