July 2nd, is my birthday and it’s a bitter sweet moment. Every birthday I would receive a text around midnight from you wishing me a happy birthday. I surely miss that text, that is the only thing I want.

Happy father’s Day dad.  Thanks for all you’ve done. Your legacy is an abundance impact for my life.

To the family of Joe,

I worked with Joe at ABS, and met some of you at his retirement party last year. I met him in 2012, one of the first colleagues I had the opportunity to meet and gave me a lot of details about the company. I was really green at the time, so the time I spent with him and Paul Lowe in our little cube space has always stayed with me. As we are both native to Louisiana and both LSU fans, we continued to grow as professional friends throughout the years. I only was informed of his departure a few days ago, and hate that I wasn’t able to pay my respects.

Please know he was a mentor to many and will be missed by more people than you know.

Dad, I'm deeply missing you. My heart aches, especially knowing our planned trip for this month won't happen. May you rest in paradise.

I worked with Joe for 35 years during my career at ABS.  I was always appreciative of his support when I needed it.  I am saddened his retirement was too short but, I am happy he is with the Lord.

My condolences to Joe's family at this time and I will keep you and Joe in my prayers during this difficult time.

Joseph was a great person and a conscientious engineer, always ready to support clients and colleagues.  I had the opportunity to interact with him for some years while he was ABS Type Approval Manager and I was in charge of managing O&G vendors.  If the matter was on Joe's hands, it will run smoothly through the process.   He was kind and helpful even after I left ABS and needed to contact him for clients' issues.   While it is a great lost for his family, ABS and the industry, I am sure that he is enjoying where he is now and how he is remembered.  Thanks you,  Joe!

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Joe. Joe and I worked together at ABS, both in New Orleans and then again in the Houston office. Joe was knowledgeable and was very willing to assist ABS staff or customers on technical issues or administrative matters. Joe always had a positive attitude, was honorable, and had that great big smile that made you feel warm. I will always remember Joe as a good man and thankful that our path’s crossed. 
To the family: I am very sorry for your loss, please find some comfort in knowing how well liked he was by so many people and that he had a positive impact on us. I wish you peace during this difficult time, you have my deepest condolences.

I was sorry to hear of Joe passing.  Joe and I worked with ABS on assignments in New Orleans and Houston.  He was very knowledgeable and assisted clients when they had technical issues.  This is where Joe and I had many project interfaces.  Joe always maintained a positive attitude, a good demeanor and always had a great smile.  This can-do attitude created many positive impressions with clients and employees.  I remember Joe as a good man and  a great American.  I'm very sorry for your family's loss and wanted you to know I'll always remember Joe and his warm, friendly smile.

Sincere condolences to the William family, Bro Williams was a true soldier and good man . So many memories I have of him, remembering the time he called Jessica and ask her to gather up as many of our old church members , that he wanted to see us , this was after Katrina. We all meet at Munch Factory on Elysian Fields about 10 of us, and Bro William and Sandra surprisingly pick up the tab.  May the peace of God be with you all at this hour of bereavement. Called home far too soon, Joe was the backbone of ABS. Our training was that integrity was the most important part of leadership. In his support of his bosses, mentoring to fellow staff members, and in guiding clients, Joe exemplified this spirit. He saw the best in others, found humor (and hope) in the hardest of situations, and placed his family at the top.

Very sad to hear of Joe's passing.   An ABS legend who will be missed by all who knew him.  Stand up fellow and a man of honor.   Joe brought the 'Nawlins flavor to the Houston office via a King Cake or a Monday smile after a Saints victory.     I will toast his memory this week.

To the William's Family:

I'm not sure I can properly explain how saddened I am to hear this news.  It's seems like just yesterday we were celebrating Joe's amazing career at ABS.

I'm not sure everyone know how instrumental Joe has been to the Maritime Industry.  There are countless engineers in our industry that has benefited by Joe's guidance and encouragement over the years.  He certainly had a massive impact on my life and my career.  

Through his actions he taught many about how to be patient and take the time to learn.  He also showed through his great sense of humor that you can work hard and also have a little fun!

I wish you all peace during this difficult time and hope that you can reflect on all of the contributions and happiness that Joe has provided to so many!

I was very saddened to hear about Joe passing, and offer my sincerest condolences to all the friends and family.

Joe was always one of the consistent names I have heard through my 19+ years with ABS, and I finally got the pleasure of meeting and working with him when I transferred in to Houston.  He was always there with a smile and kind word, and willing to give any help that he could.  He truly was a kind soul, and will be greatly missed.

Such a great person to work with, to have a coffee with or just talk about things that we deemed were important... family, retirement, what comes next, (no ABS computers or phones!).  Sorry you didn't get more of the retirement part of it, Joe.   You deserved it. 

To your family, I send my deepest and warmest prayers, thoughts and condolences.  It is never easy to see a loved one go.  Remembering them makes it easier, over time, but never easy.  His love and his presence never leave, though.  That should help.  Sometimes it hurts a little, too.  I am so very sorry to hear of Joe's passing.
